This Sadie 700 is a demon. It has tremendous
performance compared with my previous system,
and my old one had two motors!

Commercial & Industrial Buyers Guide

To maximise the efficiency of cleaning commercial or industrial premises, a ducted vacuum system can be installed. Typically positioned in a facility room or similar space, a ducted system provides suction throughout the premises via ducting and inlets.

Ducted vacuum systems are also known as ‘central vacuums’ or ‘built-in vacuums’

At DrainVac, we have ducted solutions to suit every scenario from small coffee shops through to office towers and heavy industry. DrainVac systems have been installed in a wide variety of scenarios including:

  • Schools

  • Cruise Liners
  • Hospitals
  • Veterinary Clinics
  • Showrooms
  • Retail Shops
  • Factories
  • Hotels
  • Office Towers
  • Vehicle Fleets
  • Aged Care Facilities
  • Car Dealers
  • Universities
  • Animal Care/Training
  • Cattle Farms

A Dry Only ducted system provides many benefits including superior & consistent suction, larger capacities, low maintenance, reduced down time, improved air quality, reduced noise and property damage.

A Wet & Dry ducted system offers all the benefits of a Dry Only system and many more as it simplifies the cleaning process for all surfaces and scenarios. It replaces many other methods of cleaning including the mop and can also reduce reliance on external services if desired. Now you can have one system that can handle any scenario with ease and provides many advantages in efficiency, thoroughness and OH&S.

Other manufacturers will not use terms like ‘Dry Only’ because they do not have Wet & Dry systems. In 1982 DrainVac pioneered the world’s first Wet & Dry ducted vacuum, providing the extra advantage of being able to vacuum liquids & solids in addition to dust. These unique systems also empty themselves automatically. We will explore Wet & Dry later in this guide

This guide will explore three key types of ducted vacuums:

Commercial Wet & Dry – The ability to vacuum liquids, solids & dust provides the ultimate freedom in cleaning. Any scenario is tackled thoroughly with ease and the system empties itself. While the upfront investment is higher than a Dry Only system, for most businesses the advantages provide a clear path to return on investment with ongoing benefits and savings into the future.

Commercial Dry – Although we encourage the use of Wet & Dry for commercial purposes, our Dry Only range offers the most powerful, compact, reliable & quiet systems on the market and leverages our diverse experience across all industries and sectors.

Industrial Solutions – Some specialised scenarios such as car washes require systems designed for constant operation all day long. To this end, we have an industrial range of ducted systems that utilize external induction motors and further optimizations. Other relevant sectors include agricultural, food processing, automobile, military & mechanical industries. DrainVac can provide industrial solutions that are Wet & Dry or Dry Only.

We will explore all three in this guide starting with Commercial Wet & Dry which is the ideal choice for most businesses.
